‘God’s Children’ Deserve the Truth: Holding Tim Ballard & Rescuers Accountable- No Exceptions, No Excuses

Because God’s Children Deserve More Than Slogans, Fantastic Tales, Fraud and Theatrics

Tim Ballard and his supporters are free to question our motives, character, or agenda. Ultimately, none of that matters. The outcome remains the same.

What they cannot do is refute the facts, evidence, documents, witness statements, court filings, financial records, and public representations that form the basis of our reporting.

You can shout “God’s Children Are Not For Sale” or any other slogan at the top of your lungs, but slogans are not evidence. They are not accountability. They are not transparency.

Anyone who claims to rescue, protect, assist, or provide care for exploited, sexually abused, and trafficked children deserves rigorous scrutiny, thorough review, and extensive independent investigation.

Child exploitation and sex trafficking are not games. They are not entertainment. They are not branding opportunities, fundraising campaigns, political platforms, media products, or get-rich-quick schemes. They are among the most serious crimes imaginable.

Yet over the past two decades, much of the anti-human trafficking industry has drifted in precisely that direction. Time and again, organizations have relied on sensational claims, unverifiable stories, inflated statistics, fear-based fundraising, celebrity endorsements, and emotionally charged narratives that often collapse under serious examination. In many cases, the claims are unprovable, exaggerated, misleading, or entirely fabricated.

Let us be clear about one thing.

We hold Tim Ballard, his current partner Aerial Recovery, his former organization Operation Underground Railroad, and its successor organization OUR Rescue to the highest possible standards for a simple and non-negotiable reason: they claim to work on behalf of some of the most vulnerable individuals on earth, children who are victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking.

That responsibility demands more than passion, good intentions, compelling stories, or public declarations. It requires integrity, transparency, accountability, competence, and sound judgment.

The margin for error is extraordinarily small. Poor judgment, dishonesty, negligence, misconduct, abuse, exploitation, criminal behavior, substance abuse, financial impropriety, or even the appearance of impropriety can place vulnerable children at risk.

There must be zero tolerance for such conduct.

Every allegation involving organizations that work with vulnerable children should be taken seriously and subjected to thorough, independent review. Investigations should be conducted by parties with no financial, personal, ideological, political, religious, or professional ties to the individuals or institutions being examined.

Transparency is not optional. It is a requirement.

Organizations that work with vulnerable children should welcome oversight, accountability, criticism, and scrutiny. Public trust is not maintained through slogans, emotional appeals, or public relations campaigns. It is earned through openness, honesty, and a willingness to answer difficult questions.

Unfortunately, history demonstrates why this level of scrutiny is necessary.

Churches, universities, law enforcement agencies, youth organizations, nonprofits, and corporations have repeatedly conducted internal investigations that protected institutions rather than victims. Even when faced with compelling evidence of wrongdoing, many organizations have prioritized reputation management, liability reduction, and institutional preservation over accountability.

That reality is precisely why independent scrutiny matters.

There are no exceptions.

Anyone who opposes, resents, or attempts to discourage such scrutiny is not placing the interests of children first. At best, they misunderstand the necessity of accountability. At worst, they are protecting an institution, an ideology, a political movement, a religious belief, or an individual they have become unwilling to question.

The same standards apply to organizations that solicit donations from the public.

Tim Ballard, Aerial Recovery, Operation Underground Railroad, and OUR Rescue have all accepted financial support from donors who believed their contributions were helping rescue and care for exploited children.

When an organization asks the public for money, it assumes an obligation to operate with complete transparency and accountability. Donors have a right to know how funds are raised, how they are spent, what results are being achieved, and whether public claims align with documented reality.

That requires accurate financial disclosures, independent audits, measurable outcomes, truthful fundraising practices, and complete transparency regarding operations and expenditures.

Misrepresenting results, exaggerating impact, fabricating accomplishments, or withholding material information is not merely unethical. It is a betrayal of public trust and, in some circumstances, may violate the law.

Organizations entrusted with public donations must operate beyond reproach because the cause they represent and the people they claim to serve demand nothing less.

There are no exceptions.

Tim Ballard, Aerial Recovery, Operation Underground Railroad, and OUR Rescue do not receive immunity from scrutiny because they invoke faith, patriotism, politics, or the protection of children. They do not receive a pass because they tell compelling stories, attract celebrity endorsements, generate media attention, or appeal to deeply held religious or political beliefs.

Charisma is not character, just like emotion is not evidence.

Public relations is not accountability.

A cause, no matter how noble, does not exempt anyone from scrutiny.

Organizations and individuals either meet the standards required of those entrusted with vulnerable children and public donations, or they do not.

The evidence determines the answer.

Not the slogans.
