This story shows how corrupt and incompetent Utah’s Attorney General Office has become in what, essentially, is a one-party Republican state. It’s about GOP Attorney General Sean Reyes abusing the powers of his office to begin a secret, criminal investigation into one of his ardent fundraisers and reelection committee members once a Reyes ally became a political liability. The Utah Attorney General’s Office (AGO) did what it took—tampering with evidence, using perjured testimony, withholding exculpatory evidence, disregarding conflicts of interest and making a false arrest to pursue theft charges against businessman Michael Drury. This video is a jaw-dropping account of how Drury is accused of stealing his own property and how some of the money he allegedly embezzled ended up in Sean Reyes’ campaign coffers. And how one of the motives behind the malicious prosecution could be connected to Operation Underground Railroad.
